MEL Research

M·E·L Research is a social research and behavioural insights agency committed to delivering social value.

Our vision is to make a positive difference to organisations, employees, customers, and wider society. This forms the ‘bedrock’ and ‘cornerstone’ of our purpose. This is why we do the work we do. We are a Living Wage employer. We believe in creating a better future where everybody: has a voice, can achieve their potential and live a fulfilled life. Directly reflecting this vision we have an extensive track record of developing highly bespoke research solutions, often on highly sensitive issues.

To ensure we deliver transformative insight we combine a highly experienced team adept at quantitative and qualitative research techniques, with innovative technology and rigorous project management processes. Rather than selling research products, our approach is to develop bespoke solutions that directly address to our clients’ research needs, with a clear focus on enhancing social value through our work.

Quality Management System (QMS) is the cornerstone on how we run our business. We are ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 20252:2019 accredited, which set out the criteria for our QMS. All our survey platform solutions are ISO9000 accredited. It ensures that our ways of working, values and behaviours (see below), procedures and philosophy are quality focused and that all parts of the business have complete clarity on our business processes ensuring total quality control.

We are a fully accredited Market Research Society (MRS) Company Partner. We operate to the MRS Code of Conduct and adhere strictly to the principles of the Data Protection Act 2018 (incorporating GDPR) and are registered as a Data Controller with the ICO; registration number Z7114827. We are also a fully accredited MRS Fair Data Partner, thereby recognised as undertaking research fully in line with ‘Privacy by Design’ principles. As such, we will ensure all work complies with the Data Protection Act 2018, incorporating GDPR. Our Fair Data accreditation can give our clients and survey respondents confidence and reassurance regarding how we collect and hold their data for the survey. We are likewise accredited under the Cyber Essentials Plus standard; the Government-backed, industry-supported scheme to help organisations protect against common online threats.
