The recent IQCS Working Forum was a great success, with strong attendance from key representatives across various IQCS member companies. 1. Data Quality Initiatives
- Debrah informed us that MRS is placing a strong emphasis on improving data quality within the market research sector.
- She highlighted the Global Data Quality (GDQ) initiative, which has already produced significant outputs such as a data quality glossary and guidance on reducing fraud in survey research.
- Key techniques discussed for improving data quality included script-driven checks, open-end checks, technical pre-survey checks, and other methods designed to enhance data integrity.
2. Standards and Professionalism
- Debrah emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards and professionalism across the sector.
- She reviewed key components such as the MRS Code of Conduct, company partner accreditation, and individual membership.
- Debrah also mentioned upcoming updates to standards, particularly the inclusion of AI standards and the systematic review of ISO 20252, which will now incorporate considerations for AI, automation, and sustainability.
